"干炒牛河: 3.5/5 pork rib with tomato sauce and rice: 2.5/5 Prices are decent but flavours are nothing spectacular. They have an all day special menu which comes with a main + drink for $18 (which is where the stir fried beef noodle came in) - it’s not too oily. Pork rib tomato rice though, has a lot of rice and not a lot of meat/tomato."

"This place is a hidden gem, it must be a go to for the locals. The food is delicious and very good price, I would have to say these deals are hard to come by. Each person paid less than $20 for a dish plus drink."

"Only local Cantonese seem to know of this hidden gem! Special only menus in handwritten Chinese plastered across the walls? Check. Walls needing a paint job? Check. Chicken bone soup? Check. Good enough service, cheap prices, quickly prepared and delicious meals? Check-check-check. I’ve been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner and all three have made me satisfied. Good food, great prices, nice meal bundles. Standouts include the yellow salted chicken and crab with e-fu noodles, congee and the tofu dishes. You’re here for a good time not a long time."

"I’ve been coming to this local, family-run spot since I was attending high school and I’m so happy to see they’re still going strong. Their beef brisket noodles are just as amazing as I remember — rich, tender, not dry and full of flavor, with perfectly cooked noodles and insanely large, satisfying portions. I literally never finish the noodles. The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home every time. It’s the kind of place where you’re treated like family, not just a customer. On top of all that, the food and drinks are priced so affordable, which makes the whole experience even better. There’s something warm and nostalgic about being here. No modern renovations needed, looked the same for over a decade. It’s more than just a meal — it’s a comforting, familiar experience that brings back memories and leaves you full and happy every time. A true hidden gem that deserves way more love. I recommend their steamed fish, the traditional Cantonese way with ginger and shallots. They make it so well, perfectly cooked where the meat is so tender. Their lobster with noodles dish is also very good. These are usually expensive market priced dishes but they’re so cheap and tastes so good here. 100% SLAPS. I didn’t get a photo because I demolished it right after a gym session. Just trust me on this one."

"Visited there today Food very tasty and fresh Huge selection and lots of lunch specials Restaurant was clean and tidy Free tea Home made chilli sauce is to die for Waitress was a little cold and hard to understand but the waiter was very pleasant and helpful Will definitely return Shopping centre has free parking underneath Make sure you go to the toilet before you go to the centre as the public toilets are disgustingly, nothing to do with the restaurant )"

"The dishes are good and taste good. There is free soup for dinner and the rice portion is sufficient. Although the staff is a bit short, the waiters are diligent. If you order a set meal, the cost per person is about AUD24, which is good value for money and worth a try."

"If you’re looking for the best price-per-performance in town, Happy Kitchen (南北小廚) is hard to beat. We came here last week and were honestly impressed by how much food you get for the price. We went for one of their set menus, and for $200 AUD, the amount of food was incredible. It’s rare to find a place that includes a 1kg mud crab (with noodles), a whole chicken, steamed fish, and several other sides for that price point. The Food Lobster/Crab with Ginger & Shallot Noodles: The portion was huge. Lobster is better than crab, and the noodles soaked up all the savory sauce. Stir-fried Beef with Onions: Classic Cantonese style with good "wok hei." Braised Mushrooms with Bok Choy: A nice, lighter balance to the heavier seafood and meat dishes. The Set also included: Free-range chicken, soup of the day, and rice. The Verdict I wouldn't say every dish is "mind-blowing" or "fine dining" quality, but as we say, "對得住個價錢" (it definitely lives up to the price). The flavors are solid, the seafood is fresh, and you will definitely leave full. It’s a no-frills, authentic spot that is perfect for a big family dinner when you want a lobster or crab feast without breaking the bank. I’ll definitely be back when the seafood cravings hit!"

"Came here for dinner and the crabs were the star of the show!! We had ginger and shallot crab and also XO crab with vermicelli - they were both super fresh, full of flavour, and cooked perfectly. We ordered a bunch of other dishes as well and everything was solid, but the crabs really stood out. Service was friendly and food came out quickly. 100% recommend and definitely coming back!!"
